2025 NAACP Image Awards: Keke Palmer And Six Triple Eight Big Winners

 The Six Triple Eight, a historical drama, won Oustanding Motion Picture and Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for Kerry Washington. On Saturday evening in Los Angeles, Keke Palmer was named Entertainer of the Year at the 56th NAACP Image Awards।

The Six Triple Eight received the NAACP Image Awards for Best Motion Picture Ensemble earlier in the week, while Ebony Obsidian received the awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress and Outstanding Breakthrough Performance for the film।

Martin Lawrence was also awarded the Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for Bad Boys: Ride or Die at Saturday's ceremony।

On Saturday evening, Kamala Harris, former vice president, was awarded the NAACP Chairman's Award along with other special honors।

Harris received great applause during her four and a half minute acceptance speech, which she ended by saying, “While we have no illusions about what we are up against in this chapter of our American story, this chapter will be written not simply by whoever occupies the Oval Office — nor by the wealthiest among us। You and we will write the American story। God bless you and the United States, and thank you। ”

The Wayans family—Keenen Ivory Wayans, Damon Wayans Sr., Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Kim Wayans, and Damon Wayans Jr.—was also inducted into the NAACP Hall of Fame during Saturday night's event. Also, comedy icon Dave Chappelle was honored with the NAACP President's Award।

At Friday night's NAACP Image Awards Creative Honors event, Jotaka Eaddy also received the Mildred Bond Roxborough Social Justice Impact Award।

The 56th NAACP Image Awards was celebrated on Saturday, marking the end of a week of festivities। The organization's Creative Honors event—which was not televised—was the precursor to Saturday evening's celebration। CBS and BET transmitted Saturday's NAACP Image Awards celebration।

At the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, comedian Deon Cole hosted the 56th NAACP Image Awards।

In the UFC main event, Song Yadong outperforms Henry Cejudo on points.

The terrible outcome of Saturday's major bantamweight bout between Song Yadong and Henry Cejudo may force the UFC to schedule a rematch right away. After the third round, the bout was stopped because Cejudo couldn't see after an inadvertent eye poke, and Yadong (22-8-1) won by technical decision. At Seattle's Climate Pledge Arena, the main event of UFC Fight  Night featured a 135-pound fight that was set to last five rounds. With scores of 30-27, 29-28, and 29-28, all three judges gave Yadong the victory in the shortened bout. The bout lasted three complete rounds before  being decided by a technical decision.
